Checklist
- Note the ad account ID.
- Read the reason in Account Quality.
- Fix payment or flagged ads.
- Request a review.
Avoid
- Making new ad accounts under the same Business Portfolio.
- Running ads from a personal profile that is also restricted.
What to do first
Here is the fuller version, step by step.
- Open Account Quality and look at three levels: your own profile's advertising access, the Business Portfolio, and each ad account.
- Fix the highest level first. An ad account review rarely succeeds while the portfolio or your profile is restricted.
- Clear payment problems before asking for review: settle any balance and use a card in the business name.
- Request one review per restricted item, from Account Quality, and keep the confirmation.
- For takeovers, secure every admin's profile and remove unknown people, partners and apps in Business settings first.
What to have ready
- Registration documents that match the portfolio's legal name and address exactly.
- The ad account ID and Business Portfolio ID.
- Screenshots of Account Quality and any ad rejections.
- Invoices or card statements that match the account.
- A website on your own domain with contact details and clear policies.
How to word it
- If ads ran after a takeover, say when the takeover started and when you regained control.
- Name the asset, the date it was restricted, and what you have changed since.
- Keep it to facts; Meta's team sees many requests and a short clear one is easier to act on.
Things that slow it down
- Adding a card that was used on another restricted account.
- Sharing your login with a freelancer instead of adding them as a partner or person.
- Opening new ad accounts or portfolios to keep spending; Meta can treat this as circumvention.
- Buying or renting 'aged' ad accounts.
After you send it
- Once restored, start with small budgets and ads that clearly follow the Advertising Standards.
- Add two-factor for every admin and keep at least two admins you trust.
- If verification is requested, submit documents that match the portfolio details exactly.
- Check Account Quality and the email on the portfolio for the result.
When to ask for help
- Several ad accounts and portfolios are restricted together.
- The review button is missing or the decision is final.
- Business verification keeps rejecting matching documents.
What to send
- Your username or profile link.
- A screenshot of the notice or error, with the date visible.
- Which email or phone is on the account (just which one, never a code).
- What happened before it started, in a few lines.
Please do not send passwords, login codes, card numbers or access tokens.
